Publisher's note. First build for Nevada turkey — previously blocked because the old blocker note ('no recurring date pattern like deer') turned out to be wrong (NDOW's own regulation text names a recurring formula for most units) but the successor regulation to CR 24-13 could not be found until now. Found via Commission Regulation CR 26-13, 'Seasons, Bag Limits, and Special Regulations for Upland Game Birds, Rabbits, Wild Turkey, Furbearers, and Falconry Seasons' (adopted July 2026, covers both 2026-27 and 2027-28 in one document — read directly, not proxied). Spring Limited Entry (Hunts 0131/0132) and the Humboldt Unit 051 Private Lands hunt (Hunts 0135/0137) both use the recurring formula 'Last Saturday in March – first Sunday in May', which for 2027 computed to March 27 – May 2, 2027 (verified against the document's own explicit '...May 2, 2027' dates elsewhere, e.g. the Junior hunt). The Junior/Youth hunt (Hunt 0138) runs a fixed 'March 20 – May 2, 2027' independent of the formula. Lander County units 151/152 are the one exception to the formula: instead of one continuous Limited Entry season they run three separate short windows (Mar. 27–Apr. 4, Apr. 10–Apr. 18, Apr. 24–May 2, 2027) that together span the same outer dates as every other unit — not broken out as its own methods row since the outer opener/closer are unaffected, but worth knowing before you plan a specific week there. Every NV turkey tag (fall and spring, adult and private-lands) is allocated through NDOW's draw — there is no over-the-counter turkey tag anywhere in the state. A person may receive only one wild turkey tag per calendar year total, spring and fall combined, per the regulation's own eligibility text. Shooting hours for every turkey hunt in this regulation are stated as 'one half hour before sunrise to sunset' — turkey is a documented exception to Nevada's general big-game half-hour-after-sunset closing rule, not an omission.
