02 — Why a Swiss company publishes a US reference
The Hunter Almanac is written for hunters in the United States, but it is published from Switzerland by Honeygoat GmbH. That is worth stating plainly rather than hiding behind a US-sounding brand: the people compiling these pages are not a state agency, not a US outfitter, and not affiliated with any wildlife department.
What that means in practice is on our verification page: every date on this site is read from the wildlife agency that sets it, carries the date it was checked, and links back to the source so you can confirm it yourself. Being an outside publisher makes that discipline more important, not less.
03 — Editorial responsibility
Editorial responsibility for the content of hunteralmanac.com rests with Christoph Ballmer, reachable at the address above. Corrections are welcome and are the fastest way to improve a reference work — see Contact for what to send us.
04 — Rights in this site
The compilation, wording, tables, page structure and images on hunteralmanac.com are the property of Honeygoat GmbH unless marked otherwise. The underlying facts — season dates, bag limits, licence fees — are public regulatory information and belong to nobody; our arrangement and wording of them does not. Details, including what you may quote and how, are in our Terms of Use.
