Publisher's note. Dates from the ODFW Game Bird Program recommendations for 2026-27, cross-checked against the published 2026-27 Oregon game bird regulations, which carry the same dates. Oregon splits the state into two dove zones and treats them differently: Zone 1 (western Oregon and the Columbia River Gorge) gets a split season because wintering doves concentrate there, Zone 2 (eastern Oregon) gets 60 consecutive days because its birds usually leave with the first cold snap in early September. Both zones open Sept. 1, so the opener is the same statewide even though the closing dates are not.
