Publisher's note. Dates from the '2026 Utah Field Regulations Guidebook'. Utah runs four general-season buck deer hunts by weapon (archery, muzzleloader, an early any-legal-weapon hunt on 12 named units only, and the main any-legal-weapon/rifle hunt), most of them available over the counter rather than by draw — a real difference from Nevada and New Mexico. Beyond the general season, Utah also runs 'extended archery' hunts in specific suburban deer-management areas (Sept. 12 through as late as Nov. 30) for hunters who already hold a general-season archery tag and complete an ethics course, and separately drawn limited-entry and CWMU (private-land co-op) hunts with their own unit-specific dates — neither is included here since both require an additional qualification or permit beyond the general-season tag most hunters buy.
